Our training methods use positive reinforcement and focus on teaching our dogs what we WANT them to do. No harsh methods are used or recommended. This training is excellent for families with children. We recommend all family members participate in the training so that everyone is consistent in teaching and communicating with their dog. All of our online training courses are accessible on any device, including smartphones and tablets. In fact, our entire website is optimized to render on a smartphone.
The Light of Dog online Basic Training Course includes handouts, e-books and video content. It will give you the best possible start to training the perfect dog, as it covers all the basics for in dog training and obedience and is applicable for dogs of all ages.

Content Includes
1. Video clips covering a 7-session group training course. We do not want to overwhelm you with content, but rather give you what you need to effectively and efficiently train your dog. The video clips cover the key content and are between 2 -12 minutes in length. They are high quality videos in a 720 x 540 display.
2. Thirty handouts in one e-book that you can download and save to your PC for later reference or print and use when away from your PC. These handouts include summaries of each section’s training topics as well as additional training issues, such as crate training, house training and much more.
3. The Recommended Products e-book includes over 30 descriptions and recommendations on products to use with your dog.
The Basic Training course cost is $20, which includes 30 days unrestricted access to the online module where you can view videos and download the e-books. The course is divided into 5 sections and each section tells you what you will learn and what to do following your review of the videos and handouts before moving on to the next section. You should be able to complete all 5 sections in 30 days, but if you need more time, you can purchase an additional month access for $20.
We want to make as much impact as we can in keeping dogs out of shelters, so $5 (25%) of your payment will be donated to a rescue group or shelter. Supplemental Basic Training Online Course
This module is for people who want additional tips, tricks and ideas to help them work with their dog.
The Body Language module include 16 clips and one handout on understanding dog body language. You will learn to read signs of fear and stress in your dog and see when signs of play activity with other dogs may be escalating toward aggression.
The Tricks module includes 15 videos to help you keep challenging your dog, which specially true if your dog learns quickly and can have practical applications as well. For example, we teach our dogs to “shake” so that we can more easily trims nails, clean muddy feet or pull thorns from their pads. Whether adding difficulty to what you are currently working on or teaching new things, it’s important to keep our dogs challenged and learning new things to help keep them out of trouble.

Specific Problem Areas
Most dog owners will have specific areas in which their dogs need more work. The vast majority of people may have issues with 1,2 or all of these areas: Jumping, pulling on leash and come. We have created online modules that just address these areas in greater detail than what is found in our basic training online course.
Another difference with these specific modules is that subscrtibers will also be able to download and save the video for future reference, because we know from experience that these issues might re-surface in the future, so people should be able to have the resource available to them.
