My name is Sue Brown and I have been providing dog training and behavior counseling since 1996, and had my own business called The Light of Dog serving the south metro Denver and Castle Rock areas since 2004. I am a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I am author of Juvenile Delinquent Dogs: The Complete Guide to Saving Your Sanity and Successfully Living with Your Adolescent Dog, and author of Ask The Trainer: Answers to common questions about dog training and behavior issues, including jumping, leash manners, aggression, fearfulness, and more. I live on a farm in Sedalia with my own dogs and husband.
I have several options for remote consulting. In some cases, a combination of more than one of our options will give you the best opportunity for success.
My Remote Consulting/Training Options include:
- Phone or video consultations: 60 minute or 30 minute options. Start with the 60 minute option if you are just getting started or have some serious behavior issues that are driving you crazy or that need more in-depth help. The 30 minute option is best for those who need some follow-up help after an initial 60 minute consult.
- Email consultations: these are purchased in blocks of one month support at a time. You can re-up for as many months as you want. In your one month support purchase, you can ask questions via email during that entire month. I will respond, in most cases, the same or next day, on weekdays. I can sometimes respond on weekends, but my weekends are pretty busy so I might not be able to respond until Monday.
- Phone/email combo: start with a phone consult and use the email support to handle follow up questions and troubleshooting.

With 20 years of dog training experience, I have had so many clients over the years who came to me after having failed in their training efforts with their dogs.
