PAST PRESENT FUTURE

The Past & Present

Started in 2003, The Light of Dog has been rooted on our farm in Sedalia since 2009, building both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for dogs—and for actually living outside with them. Our days include some combination of walking, bike riding, running, rock climbing, shooting, skiing, parkour and farming alongside our Vizslas and chickens. Our dogs don’t just tolerate adventure—they live for it, whether here on the farm, local trails or long excursions across the Rockies in our expedition van.

The Future

We’re hackers, innovators, and unapologetic tech geeks—building the next generation of life with dogs using leading edge tools and technology, all from our farm in our own server environment powered by solar. If there’s a better way to care for and enjoy our dogs, we’re probably already tinkering with it.

What We Need

We’re big believers in reuse and ingenuity. Extra fencing? Leftover building materials? Used equipment and gear? Old, slow computers? We’ll take them. We love turning overlooked stuff into useful infrastructure that helps power our apps, services, and ideas—just like we do with everything else around here.

The Light of Dog Farm
We live and operate from 14-acres in Sedalia, where we have indoor and outdoor facilities for training and boarding, fenced private dog park rental and a USDA-licensed kitchen for dog food products, We grow using regenerative agriculture and free-range our chickens in protected spaces.

Our goal is to positively impact the lives of as many dogs and their families as we can, in part through our extensive library of video, infographics and text articles.
