We have discussed Find It in two previous posts. One is getting started, why we use it and how it can help us with real-life problems. The second discussed how to utilize it outdoors. Now we focus specifically on how to use it ON LEASH.
Essentially, it's the same as it was indoors or outdoors off leash, but now we have to take into consideration the space we have within the confines of the leash.
If you have a short leash, you will not have as much space to use Find It. If you have a longer line, you will have more ability to spread out and utilize the Find It however you want. The goal is to make sure you do not toss your Find It treats beyond the length of the leash. We do not want to encourage pulling on the leash, so be careful where you toss those treats!
